Igor Mezic, PhD – Founder and Chief Technical Advisor
Igor is a Professor at the University of California, Santa Barbara where he also serves as the Director of the Center for Energy Efficient Design. He earned his Dipl. Ing. in Mechanical Engineering in 1990 from the University of Rijeka in Croatia and his Ph.D. in Applied Mechanics from the California Institute of Technology. He is the winner of numerous scientific awards including the National Science Foundation’s Career Award and the George S. Axelby Outstanding Paper Award from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Dr. Mezic has published widely on micro-fluidic particle manipulation and bio-molecular conformation processes in prestigious journals that include Nature, Science, PNAS, and Lab-on-a-Chip. Integrated Fluidics’ technology is partially based upon a paper of his that appeared in Science in 2001 and which has been cited more than a thousand times in published articles discussing micro-fluidics.
